It's here! I have finally completed my new art web site, Federico Fantasy Art. PayPal icons have been added so that collectors can purchase original art directly on my site instead of eBay.

You will find several new pen & ink paintings of Black Cat Parody art featuring parodies of classic artists like Carriera, Botticelli, and Gericault, along with a fun hand painted Black Cat music box. I plan on adding an original painted Black Cat cigar box purse by the end of this week.

News Flash! I will soon (hopefully) have new web sites up and running in another couple of weeks whereby collectors can purchase my art directly through me instead of eBay. This includes federico-fantasy-art, poodelicious-artwork-by-federico, and my main site, federico-whimsy-art. I will include links to everything once they are up.

Also coming up will be a web site featuring hand crafted soaps and lotions, Natural Skin Care Products for Baby-Boomers with Extra Dry Skin. Yes, I've been bit by the soap and lotion making bug. I'm getting rave reviews on my formulas and people asking how to purchase more.

One is a parody of "Isabella and the Pot of Basil" by Holman Hunt and the other of "Pandora" by Dante.

Art Donated to the Northwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center's 'Wild Things' Auction

Becky has donated original art and art prints to the upcoming Northwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center's 4th annual 'Wild Things' Fundraising Auction in Bellingham, WA. This event will take place on Saturday evening, March 15 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Among the art is an original, hand painted, and ooak (one of a kind) Black Cat Cigar Box Purse, and an original Black Cat Parody Painting of Queen Elizabeth I.

1. Growing up I used to be so shy, I'd walk with my head down. Everyone thought I was a snob!

2. I like to read those silly, romantic comedy books. Yet I can't stand to watch sappy chick flicks. Comedies and animations are what I like to watch.

3. I live and breath art. I wake up in the mornings and design art in my head. After my spiritual exercises in the evening before I fall asleep, I design art in my head. Now all I need is the time to create all of these designs!

4. I belong to a New Age religion called Eckankar.

5. I sing and dance with my poodles. They love it!

Poodle Cigar Box Purse Preview

I finally finished it! Here's a preview of the hand painted Poodle Cigar Box Purse. Both sides are detailed and I've added Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones and vintage rhinestone jewelry parts.

As always, I line my purses and add extra details.

A Creative Day

Today I painted stars on the poodle purse and finished the final coating on the painted pieces that will be glued to the box itself. I will hopefully line the interior by the end of this week and add some more detail to the Madame Pompadour cat oil painting.

Then I sculpted half of a cat's head with Paperclay which will be part of another project. This evening I'll work on a pen & ink watercolor painting of a black cat parody.

I'm so behind, I don't have one item ready to list this week! Wish me luck on finishing that pen & ink....

Here's a Halloween purse I had listed on eBay a few weeks ago, but the buyer reneged. She also reneged on 4 other sellers, so now she's no longer registered on eBay!

And a beautiful Fall day it is! The air is crisp, half of the colorful leaves have fallen, and the sun is out with clouds skittering across the sky. This morning we had several flocks of Canadian geese flying low above our house. Yesterday a couple of bald eagles were soaring and screeching in the tall trees behind us. I had to keep Bijou's lead short and tight as she peed; I'd hate to have my toy poodle become eagle prey!

All in all, it's a great day for painting but today I'm running errands which includes going to Jo-Ann Fabrics for lace and black paint for my cigar box purses.

I Got The Brush-Off!

Well! I just got the brush-off! Kinda..... Yesterday I sat down to work on the Madame Pompadour cat parody painting when I realized that I had used all of my good brushes on my acrylic Halloween Folk Art, so now they're shot! I placed an order with Dick Blick Art Supplies.

So now what? Today I prep 3 boxes for 3 purses: one poodle purse, one poodle Christmas purse, and one black cat Christmas purse.

Happy Sunday, everyone! Today I plan on organizing my cat parody art prints to sell in my eBay Store. But since I've been working diligently on my Halloween Folk Art these past couple of months, I've kind of let my oil painting slide. Before the Halloween rush I had started two oil paintings, one of King Henry and the other of Madame Pompadour. Which do you think I should paint for completion first?

By the way, in regards to those original cat parody paintings, I will no longer offer them on eBay. Instead, they will be available directly on my web site.
